How do you become a famous fitness model?

What should a fitness center do if a 4 year old boy hits other kids in the daycare at the fitness center?

Step by step procedure.

How many warnings?

Because the one parent feels that child shouldn't even be in the daycare, but I think the fitness center should try to solve the problem without having to kick anybody out.

What do you think or suggest?

Thank you|||The fitness center should defer to the parent, tell the parent the behavior and give the parent a warning for what will happen if the behavior does not change....

If the parent gives permission for some sort of discipline then the worker should give one warning then remove the child from the others, make him stay by himself.

Before anything go to the parent.|||I would talk to the boy's parents, then let them know in no uncertain terms that if this happens again the boy will no longer be accepted. Other children must be made to feel safe.|||Give one warning and then go get the parent and see if they can solve the problem. If not they should be removed.|||I would set up a boxing ring and let them go at it!!!|||I think there should be ONE warning. If it happens again, call the parent to remove the child. Sorry, but I don't think other kids should be victimized by a 4 year old who is old enough to understand. If he can't even behave over the course of a couple of hours, the parent clearly has problems that you can't solve.

How much does a personal fitness instructor make and what are the chances of hire?

I'm thinking of becoming a personal fitness instructor. I myself have a trainer to help me get in shape. Since I won't be meeting with my trainer for the time being. if you are in the states a few organizations come to mind such as A.C.E which i think stands for American council on exercise. the I.S.S.A international sports sciences association and if you are up with me in canada Can fit pro is available with many others.

the most important thing you can do is go to as many gyms as you can just to ask them what organization they will accept a certification from but if you're not a good trainer in the gym then it doesn't matter where you got your course from. you simply have to know your stuff but most trainers fail because they themselves don't know proper form when working out and i have seen it from every gym i have been to and i have been in lots of gyms over the past 23 years.|||I'd say $25,000 to $50,000 ballpark.

Less if you do it part time, more if you become the personal trainer to the stars and/or the rich and not so famous, and get your own studio, make your own videos, get on Oprah...

Like an actor could make $200 walking in the background or 20 millions being Johnny Depp.

Certification would depend where you are. It varies for each state (in the US), and for each countries. Some states, you learn CPR and how to use a defibrillator and take a two weeks class and you’re done. Others, you need years of college. Some organizations will let you pass the exam without even studying for it…if you believe that you have enough personal experience in fitness, so the educational program is sometimes not even mandatory.

In the U.S, the five best personal fitness instructor certification programs are the American Council on Exercise (ACE), the International Sports Sciences Association (ISSA), the American College of Sports Medicine (ACSM), the National Strength and Conditioning Association (NSCA) and the National Academy of Sports Medicine (NASM).

Make sure you get the certification for where you live. One of my friends is a lawyer but she went to law school in New-York. Now, she cannot practice law, because she’s not living in New-York anymore. Another of my friend was a surgeon in Switzerland. Then she moved to Paris, France and could not even be a doctor there. She became THE paramedic who could surgically remove a body entangled in a wheel of a subway train (when people either kill themselves or got pushed).

Personal training is a growing business, the more people are subjected to the fast food/processed food industry, while having jobs with no physical activity, and the more they need to get in better shape.

The only problem is that personal training is a profession where it needs to be your vocation if you want to be any good.

Like doctors…do you do it because of the money or because you want to save lives…those are two different doctors. The first one, not very good, s/he sees a problem, s/he just refers you to a specialist. That one will play golf on Fridays and have a trophy wife/husband and a big house; the second one, the good dedicated, efficient one, will work at the free clinic or go to foreign devastated countries around the world.

So, whatever the certification, you have good personal trainers and bad ones. Good ones motivate you and you get results in an enjoyable way, bad ones gives you pain, shame, make you feel inadequate and you don’t get good satisfying results.

A bad one could injure his/her clients so sometimes clubs are reluctant to hire anybody because they would get the end of any lawsuits. It’s like I can’t even get a massage anywhere because clubs, fitness centers and even medical facilities got rid of them…what if a client sues because the massage therapist did an improper gesture or just because the client did not feel better or s/he experienced any pain??? Or what if a client is not happy because the massage therapist DID NOT do an improper gesture (hello, guys?).

Personal fitness training is like massages…you’re one on one and it’s a personal, close, intimate relationship based on trust. With massages, you have to allow a complete stranger to touch your body, while you close your eyes, listen to soothing music and let go of all your stress and tension.

There is no witness nurse to make sure everything is good and nobody is suing anybody, unlike those witness nurses who are always in the room when you get a pelvic exam (if you’re a woman). I’m French and there is no “witness nurse” there and I can tell you that they are needed. A man gynecologist with magic fingers could take advantage of you and you cannot even sue the bastard because it felt so good.

How come you “won’t be meeting with your personal trainer for the time being”??? I’m hoping s/he’s on vacation and it’s not about money or fear of lawsuits or s/he’s no longer in the club/medical center.

I guess being a fitness instructor is like being a hairdresser or a French (or any language) teacher. You would pay $10 for a haircut by a hairdresser working for some company, but if the hairdresser is an artist, you’ll be willing to pay $100 to go to her/his house or s/he comes to your house and you get the best haircut (it’s still nowhere near $1,000 haircut on rodeo drive).

Most of it is “word of mouth”. If you get the best haircut, everybody will want to know about your hairdresser.

If you get the best body, everybody will want to know about your personal trainer.

How important is physical fitness to a good sex life?

I think it's very important because of flexibility and stamina. It's one of the many benefits to fitness.|||Well it is incredibly important, I mean if you are out of breath 5 minutes in....not so good. Plus for over weight men the shaft of the penis can be covered up by excess belly fat. A man gains 1/2 inch in "size" for every 35 lbs he loses!

Another plus to being fit is that stronger core muscles equal bigger orgasms for both men and women. An orgasm is just a muscle spasm, stronger muscles mean bigger spasms! ;)

Diet is very important is well. A major cause of low libido is a zinc deficiency!|||Candlelight dinners, sweet gifts, and soft music are some things people do to initiate intimate relations. But can exercise work just as well and contribute to a healthy sex life? According to the American Council on Exercise it can. Heating your sex life can be accomplished through maintaining a good exercise regimen improving sexual function in both men and women. Exercise is not only a physical but mental activity much like sex is. Exercise can enhanced sexuality because of the benefits gained in muscle strength, endurance, and cardiovascular functioning. Increased performance of blood flow and increased levels of testosterone levels all lead to a robust and energetic sex life. Studies published in the Electronic Journal of Human Sexuality conclude that people who regularly exercise have a better perception of themselves, and are more confident in their physical abilities, and find themselves more sexually attractive which all add to feelings of competency in love making. They also experience higher levels of satisfaction or may feel more sexually desirable to the opposite sex.

Do insanity workouts drink lots of water and do change you eating routine. This will surely help you, I got my advices and tips for health and fitness from http://savalan.org. The site give great advices that will help you to reach your goal.|||I've never been to snap fitness but here are some guidelines you can use:

-First of all, you need a combination of cardiovascular exercise and strength training. One or the other will not cut it.

-If you do not want to bulk up but just tone your body, you need to do 12-15 reps per set when you are going your strength training. The lighter weights will tone you.

-The most immediate answer would be to see if your gym has circuit training. This is a section of the gym where you do the '30-minute' workout, moving from one machine to the other to get a total body body workout.

-Combine this with a cardio program where you use different machines each day (elliptical, stairmaster, treadmill) and mix up your cardio between steady-state cardio (going the same speed for a longer amount of time) with interval training (which features short bursts of high-intensity training).|||there are routines that will make you lose weight and will not make you bulk.. i hope this helps

like the person above, Jillian Michaels is GREAT!!! her stuff is definitely hard but do it with someone else. her dvd "30 day shred" is awesome. its only 20 minutes long but its hard and definitely pays off. also, tae bo is great too. if you like dancing, find a dancing dvd that will burn calories. good luck and hopefully this helps.|||Jilian Michael's Cardio Kick Box (it's on youtube). What fitness exercises are beneficial for playing Squash?

Currently I'm playing squash at a center that also has a fitness area. What fitness exercises are beneficial or could you recommend for playing Squash ? I'd be interested to know also what intensity or repetitions would be good.

In short, what muscles to train in what way ?|||Apparently, it requires strength, endurance, flexibility, hand:eye coordination, developed fast twitch muscularity, arm strength, shoulder strength, proper form to avoid injury. As it is so complicated, I have selected some references for you included below. I would recommend that when you play, you are completely warmed up, wear goggles or eye protectors, and drink water. You can do the regular running, playing other sports, upper body weight training, and practice in your sport on a regular basis.

What are some fitness workouts to do at home?

I am looking for some fitness workouts to do at home that dont require any equipment. I already do push ups, sit ups, elbow dips, crunches and a few others. Are there any other exercises i can do similar to those?|||Hmm, the ideal thing to do, providing you want to stay indoors, would be to get a pullup bar. I can't see how you'd get a balanced training program without including any pull exercise.

I suggest getting a pullup bar, and starting some form of strength training routine. You don't need weights for the upper body to get a strength workout, but for the lower body, once you master pistol squats for high reps (10-15) you're really going to want to add some resistance. For the upper body, I recommend starting with two different isometric exercises; one pull and one push. The pull exercise could be front lever progression, or back lever progression. For pushing, I'd only recommend planche progression. Perform sets of the neccessary progressions (Link at the end from where I follow my advice from ;)) for a total of 60 seconds, so if you can hold a tuck planche for 5 seconds, do 20 x 3 seconds.

I'd obviously recommend pistol squats, (Squats on one leg) since you don't want to lift heavy weight around. Build up to a good umber of them (I personally built up to 5 sets of 10 before moving on). However, once you can easily do those numbers, it's more endurance work and won't get you results as good, although it's definately not a bad thing to do. I'd suggest finding something to lift whilst doing them after that point :)

I'd also recommend including two "dynamic" exercises. For a beginner, pullups and proper dips are a good start. Once you master them, you can begin decreasing the leverage, without adding weight of course. You could progress from dips to one arm pushups, handstand pushups, or dare I say one arm handstand pushups if you train for long enough. For pullups, you could do uneven pullups (Assisting arm grabs a towel wrapped around the bar as low as possible), and once you get good at them at with your arm really low down, you could work one arm negatives, and eventually one arm pullups.

For optimum results, you want to be working on strength. Strength has a high translation over to endurance, so you won't lose any of the numbers you've built up with those easier exercises. Isometircs are straightforward; 60 seconds total hold per exercise for two exercises. For pistols and dynamic upper body stuff, you want to be working on 3-5 sets of 3-5 repetitions, apart from that I'd recommend building up to the aforementioned numbers for pistols first.

Crunches and sit-ups are quite useless exercises when it comes to working out. There's nothing more I really need to say. Pushups and elbow dips are a good start if you find them hard, but I'm sure you find them quite easy by now, so I'd definately give the exercises I suggested a go, to see if you like them :)

Finally, i'd like to say that I don't want to force you to do anything you don't want to do, I'm merely giving some advice I've learnt that works best for me, and a lot of other people I know. If you don't enjoy working out like that, then find something you do enjoy! Exercise isn't something you should slave away at, it should be a constant adventure :) Personally, I hate exercising indoors because I find it boring, so I do my strength workout outside. I also explore the woods around my school, mountain bike, and swim. Find something you like, and go for it!

Sorry for the length, but the question you asked deserved a thorough answer :) You're already trying to get fit, which is more than I can say for most people. Good luck with your training!|||TRY INSANITY... ITS A REALLY GOOD WORKOUT ITS ALOT OF CARDIO..... ITS A 2 MONTH PROGRAM AND SOME DIETS BUT I JUST DO THE WORKOUTS :) HOPE THAT HELPED ...

What is the difference between a fitness and bike and a road bike?

I am a regular mountain biker, but like to road-ride, too. However, my full-suspension is way too much drama for the pavement and even my hardtail is too heavy for efficient road travel. I want something lighter and better suited. The problem is, I am not super fond of the "feel" of road bikes. I saw that Trek (my fave) had "fitness" bikes and "urban" bikes and I am wondering if anyone can tell me what are the advantages/disadvantages to choosing a fitness or urban bike over a road bike?

THANKS! :)|||Okay, here goes, a Road bike is a race inspired design. It has you in an "attack" position the whole time regardless of how you place your hands on the bars. The frames are MUCH lighter than MTBs and the tires are much thinner as well (obvious). What is NOT completely obvious is the change in the riding position. The seatpost is higher and the stems/hb is positioned so that you are more erect but arched forward as well.

The hybrids, aka fitness bikes/urban bikes are basically a mixture of MTB and road bikes. They are using the geometry of MTB but the concepts/ideals of a road bike. The wheels on a hybrid are 700 cc which is similar to a road bike but the tire size is actually a little bit wider and thicker. (instead of 18-25, it is 32-38). The riding position is similar to that of a MTB with a little more relaxed feeling and not an attack position. The components actually go both ways. Some models have MTB components while some have Road bike components. That depends, however, on how high of a model you get. Some, also have carbon fiber distributed throughout the frame/fork while others are fully rigid. Sometimes you'll find a suspension seatpost but on "fitness" bikes it is usually a rigid fork. Weight wise, the hybrids range from 20-25lbs but are actually surprisingly fast. Trek, Giant, Specialized, Cannondale and a couple others all offer hybrids now.

Pros: hybrids are cheaper and have the same basic concept of getting from point A to point B quickly but comfortably but still a nice ride to work out with. The geometry is very similar to a MTB. Faster than MTB. Not much maintenance required if you take care of it.

Cons: Not as light as a road bike. Components can be cheapy if not purchasing a good model. Can be as expensive as road bikes if purchasing a good model.

I have both MTB's and Road bikes and I love both. I just love to ride regardless of what bike it is. However, there is a HUGE difference between the two. If you just want to get from point A to point B, I say get a hybrid. If you want a cardio work out and get HUGE legs, get a road bike. It took me a while to break down and buy a road bike. I owned only MTBs for years but decided to finally give it a shot after starting to work at a bike shop. I like both but nothing beats MTBs. Go to a dealer and try them both out, hybrids and road bikes. Ride it for a while and see if you can see yourself getting comfortable on a road bike. If not, your choice is pretty much made up. If so... well.... questions... questions... questions... and price... price...price. Good luck mate.|||What I call a fitness bike is stationary. A piece of gym equipment. Whether or not there is something else I do not know.|||Hey there. Go for a road bike for sure. It might not be as plush as a fitness bike but it will be fast and fun. They make some women's specific models. Check out the Orbea Diva at http://www.orbea-usa.com/fly.aspx?mid=a2鈥?/a>|||A road bike is racing style bike with skinny tires and dropped handlebars. It is the kind of bike you will be being ridden in road races such as the Tour de France. A fitness bike is a bike designed to be ridden on the road, however with some of the comfort features (like a hybrid) built in. They have straight bars and a more relaxed geometry. Look at the Trek FX series of bikes for good examples of fitness bikes.

What is your vision of a fitness program?

I am a coordinator for a university and was just given permission to start my own fitness program. It can be for anyone, students, community, staff. I wanted to know ideas of things people would want in a fitness program. How can I make the best one possible. Any ideas or suggestions are much appreciated.|||You've got a wide range of ages and types, not to mention whether you want both sexes in your group. What type of program do you want? Since you are the one leading it, where do you want this to go? How physical do you want it to be? What level of intensity do you see this program being? You may need to have two or three programs at different days. Do you want weights or resistance machines, cardio only or a mix of both? What's your budget? What can you do? How big is your facility?

Check out local exercise programs already in the area, like the local Curves or Jazzercise places. Locate and talk to some independent gym owners. Get ideas and then do an impromptu survey to see what your clientele would like and how much time they have to do it per day. Then, get your results together and do that. You may not be successful right away but you will catch on and go from there.

Also, you may want to check out the U.S. Army and other military branches. Bases have very transient groups but have workout programs for enlisted personnel and their dependents. I understand that over the last few years they have become very user friendly and very duplicatable.

I hope this helps. Good Luck.|||Hi there, this is funny. I just went onto the internet to help my son with his assignment for school. He is also developing a fitness and diet plan. To answer your question, as a non motivated person who really needs to push herself to do a little exercise. Keep it simple. Walking, cycling, pilates is fantastic and is low impact, breathing technique is important, as is diet to help give you energy. Good luck with your assignment. Regards Michelle|||fitness involves three components, muscular strength, cardiovascular endurance and flexibility. You can design a program which favours one of the three components but try to incorporate all of them. A simple program for beginers might be pushups, squats or lunges (bodyweight), followed by cardio, step class, spinning etc, followed by stretching, ab work.|||Watching someone on TV work out, like the commericals trying to sell you the ab roller or bow flex. I get all worked up and I get really hot and starting to sweat and I have to change the channel.|||1.a fitness program should first of all include cardio ( both HIIT - High Intensity Interval Training for no more than 30 minutes 3-4 times a week , and LILDC - Low Intensity Long Duration Cardio for 45-60 minutes 5-6 times a week ) . examples are walking , running , cycling , spinning , sprinting etc.

2.another important factor of a fitness program is strength training.so it would be nice to include 2-3 sessions of total body strength training for as long as 45 minutes per week ( never in the row though , make it one day thn off then another session thn off n so on ) .

3.now comes flexibility which is very important for a fitness program.examples are yoga , pilates , tai chi etc.

4.Including circuit training might as well be an effective choice for a fitness program.

5.Stretching for 5-7 minutes before AND after every workout ( whether it's cardio or strength training or yoga or whatever ) .Warming up and cooling down are the main factors of a fitness program so that should never be neglected.

All these things should be incorporated with healthy eating.and there you have it.A fitness program , best for all.

The only thing I am taking in High School now is Food for Fitness and Food and Nutrition. What other things do I have to take to become a future Fitness Trainer.|||You'll need to be an experienced athlete yourself (which you probably are, with all the athletic activities you are doing) and you will need to take some courses after you finish high school.

You will need the following:

1. AFAA (Aerobics and fitness association of America)

2. NSCA ( National strength and conditioning association)

3. ACE ( American council on exercise)

4. NASM ( American college of sports medicine)

5. A degree from a post secondary institution in one or more of ( Physiology, exercise science, kinesiology, physical education, sports medicine, fitness management.)

6. Experience (two years normally)

I got the answer from my source below.|||It really depends at what level you want to train. If you are looking to work at a gym or personal training studio, you just need to be certified through one of a number of academies like NASM or ACSM once you turn 18. In the mean time, if your school offers anatomy take it. A good science background will be very helpful.

If you are looking to train athletes at the high school or collegiate level, or go into research you are going to want to go the college and major in something like Kinesiology or Exercise Science. Regardless, I would strongly recommend getting a college degree.

Hope this helps!

How much should a fitness trainer charge and do you need any certificates?

I want to become a fitness trainer but I'm a bodybuilder so I focus more on heavy weights low reps. Can you become a fitness trainer just for building muscle only? I don't do cardio at all!!! and do you need some sort of certification to become a fitness trainer becuase I've been bodybuilding for 3 years and know the different muscle groups and the machines. And how much should a fitness trainer charge I hear they get paid well.|||Although there is no law requiring certification, you need a national certification in order to get insurance and/or work for a reputable gym. A national cert is once like ACSM, CSCS, ACE, NSPA. Generally, a nationally recognized body where you must take a proctored, closed-book exam. I say that because there are a number of certifications out there that have take home tests or no test. Generally, they are a crock. Expect to spend between $400-1000 USD to get a good personal trainer cert.

As far as practice goes, it doesn't matter what your fitness regimine is, as long as you give clients a workout plan that is tailored to their needs. Generally, trainers charge between $40-100 per hour for their services. If you work at a gym, you will keep anywhere from 50-80% of what you take in. A full time trainer can make around $30,000 per year to start, if you are a good salesperson, and a well trained trainer. As you develop your business, and your reputation and education increases, you can expect to make more. If you reach a point where you can own your own business/training studio, you can make some decent money. But my advice is that you pursue personal training as a side job.|||For starting the career,it is not necessary but for better career everything should be fair and certified.
